Peek-a-Boo

I love playing pee- a-boo with shoes!!!! Here are a few peep toes that have caught my eye for the fall fashion that is around the corner. It is such sweet sorrow as the summer season starts to wind down. The peep toe option plays a great role in this in between stage of weather changing. It's like wearing a light jacket but still being able to enjoy the cool air. Let your toes say "ahhhh" as you stroll into fall.

Ralph Lauren speaks Chinese

Who knew Ralph Lauren spoke Chinese? Thanks to my local DC Scout email, I learned today that speaking in different languages can help you in so many ways. You can find out if others are talking smack about you, get around in another country, or browse for fashion even when at the Olympics China. Rather talk Chinese than have it printed on your clothes? Maybe...I have mixed emotions; being only half Chinese I think I may let others sport this first. From the Blue Label Ralph Lauren line here are a few that caught my eye.

Madras or no mas?

Madras or no mas? Madras (plaid) fabric has been popping up all over this summer. Whether you enjoy it or not, some of us have been sporting this preppy style for our leisure and some of us have been using it to help our golf game. No matter what your purpose is for Madras fabric: use it at your own risk.

More commonly noticed patterns right now will be the patchwork plaid stitching or the multi colored plaid madras.

Madras fabric is a light, cotton fabric that is typically associated with summer clothing. The name is based on the initial inventors of the madras fabric style, the Eastern Indians and especially on the black and red check fabric that was exported from Madras, India. Madras fabric is now made in a variety of checked patterns, for example turquoise and pink checks were popular in the 1980s preppy style. (source)
